AN ANDOVER business has secured a top industry name to become its brand ambassador.

British racing driver Jake Hill, who is currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) for Trade Price Cars Racing, has taken up the role with Racetruck, the motorsport division of AKFS Ltd.

Managing director of the Hunting Gate-based business Ian Knight said: “We are excited to welcome Jake as our new brand ambassador for Racetruck. Jake is immediately likeable and has an infectious enthusiasm for anything motorsport relate.

“It made absolute sense to me to partner with Jake to help develop the Racetruck brand and promote what is a completely unique solution for the modern-day motorsport competitor.

“With its rich history in bespoke commercial vehicle building, AKFS Ltd alongside our sister company, AK Fabrication are perfectly situated to compliment the Racetruck brand. There is a synergy within the group, our aim, to produce vehicles that are built without compromise.”

When questioned at the recent Thruxton BTCC event, Jake predicts a strong finish to his 2019 campaign.

He said: “With three circuits left, Knockhill, Silverstone and Brands Hatch GP - that I not only love racing on, but I feel sure will suit our car. Bring them on!"
