RESIDENTS are urged to be vigilant after a suspicious incident in Tidworth.
Police say at around 2.15am on Saturday (August 31), a man was seen acting suspiciously at a house in Churchill Close and is believed to have had a large metal pole which he was using to try and get items from the property.
When he was challenged by the occupant he ran off in the direction of the woods behind Churchill Close.
It is not believed anything was stolen during the incident.
He was wearing a cap under a hooded top.
PC Andrew Morgan said: “There have been a number of similar incidents in the area in the last month and we’d like to remind residents to be security conscious. Do not leave any valuable items within easy reach of doors and windows and please report any suspicious activity immediately.”
