Vandal jailed for smashing street of shop windows in Andover
MAGISTRATES have jailed a man who damaged several shop windows in Andover.
On August 8 Craig Smith smashed the fronts of Middleton and Major, Citizens Advice Bureau and Herbies Pizza.
On the same day he also assaulted three police officers while they were carrying out their duties.
At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on August 29 Smith, of Gant Walk, Selby, North Yorkshire, admitted to the offences.
He also pleaded guilty to breaking a restraining order.
The 26-year-old was jailed for 26 weeks and must pay £225 compensation.
