EMERGENCY services were called to a serious accident in Andover on Monday night.
A car crashed into a tree on The Avenue shortly before 9.30pm.
Two 17-year-old males were in the vehicle, one of whom sustained "serious and potentially life-threatening injuries", according to the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).
Police were also in attendance, as were fire crews from Andover and Basingstoke who had to cut one of the teenagers out of the car.
Both were conscious and breathing when removed from the vehicle.
The teen who sustained life-threatening injuries was treated at the scene before being taken to the major trauma unit at University Hospital Southampton.
The other sustained minor injuries and was taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
The ambulance service was called at 9.27pm and the fire service at 9.32pm.
Two fire crews, two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were in attendance at the scene.
