A MAN seen committing a sex act outside a property in Andover last week was not a permanent employee of Vitacress, the company says.

The culprit was recorded wearing a Vitacress work uniform while masturbating on a public street, opposite the window of a row of homes on the morning of Thursday, September 19.

However, the company has since revealed that the man was “not a Vitacress employee but was employed by a third-party supplier” which provides a service at the organisation’s site in St Mary Bourne.

It was also confirmed that the man is no longer working on the business’ premises.

Mike Sheldon, MD of Vitacress, said: “We are aware of an incident that occurred offsite last Thursday (September 19) morning, involving an individual wearing a Vitacress fleece.

“The person involved was not a Vitacress employee but was employed by a third party supplier, who provide a service to Vitacress’ St Mary Bourne site.

“As soon as Vitacress were made aware of the incident, we informed his employer and all appropriate actions were swiftly taken.

“We can confirm that he is no longer working on the Vitacress site.”

Police confirmed yesterday (Sunday) that they were investigating the inicident.

There has been no further update since they issued the following statement yesterday: “We have received a report of a male committing a sex act in Walworth Road, Picket Piece, Andover.

“This is alleged to have taken place at around 7.10am on Thursday 19 September.
