WHITCHURCH Silk Mill will be hosting an architectural talk and tour next week after its recent refurbishment project helped it scoop a Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) award.

Visitors are being invited to join the project’s architect to find out more about the stories behind the building, what inspired the project and what makes the building an award winner.

Last year the Mill underwent a multi-million-pound redevelopment project, the success of which led to the facility winning the RIBA South Award 2019.

The talk takes place at the Silk Mill on Wednesday, October 9, from 3pm until 5pm.

Tickets cost £10, or £7.50 for friends of the Silk Mill and RIBA members and £5 for students and concessions, plus admin fees.
