THE Chantry Centre is set to welcome Father Christmas and his elves to take residence in the grotto over the next few weeks.
Andover’s shopping centre will play host to the traditional festive grotto in the run up to Christmas Day, with the opening coinciding with the town’s Christmas lights switch-on event on 15 November.
Father Christmas will open the doors to his busy workshop every Saturday in November and every weekend through December, as well as Christmas Eve.
The entire centre will be covered with decorations, with local choirs and bands performing and festive footsteps to guide visitors to the grotto itself.
Councillor Phil North, leader of Test Valley Borough Council, said: “The grotto promises to be a really special event throughout winter and we’re really pleased that we have been able to continue hosting events for families to enjoy and make the most of.
“I hope that everyone enjoys the grotto, and remembers to pick up their gift!”
