A CHAINSAW and a generator were stolen during a break-in in Andover last week.
Police say “unknown persons” accessed the rear garden shed of a property in South Street sometime between Sunday, November 3, and Tuesday, November 5.
Amongst the stolen items were a red Honda generator and an orange and white Stihl Chainsaw.
A statement about the incident from Hampshire Constabulary read: “Please be mindful when storing expensive equipment in sheds.
“Sheds are often targeted by opportunists due to their sometimes flimsy structures, which makes it easy to break in to.
“Please contact your local Neighbourhood Policing Team for further advice on how to keep your shed secure and to minimise the risk of being broken into.”
