BUSINESSES around the town are getting into the festive spirit as part of a town-wide Christmas window competition.

Andover BID has launched the competition, in which members of the public will vote on which town centre storefront has assembled the most impressive Christmas display.

Snapshots of various windows have already been displayed on social media. And last week BID manager Steve Godwin collected the competition’s prize, which has been donated by the White Hart Hotel and will be presented to the eventual winners later this month.

A range of store shopfronts, including the likes of Mooch, David Mellor Family Jewellers and the Ugly Duckling pop-up shop, have already been showcased with more to follow in the coming days.

The shopfront with the most votes as of December 14 will then be presented with a prize of four carvery meals and a bottle of wine courtesy of the White Hart Hotel, in Bridge Street.

For more information and to view the Christmas windows, visit the town centre or search ‘Andover BID’ on Facebook.
