Police have arrested a man after a victim was knocked over and killed in a suspected hit and run, neighbours have said.
Witnesses have told the Advertiser a Charlton resident was taken away in handcuffs and their car seized on Friday.
The Advertiser has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for comment.
An onlooker said: "My parent lives in the same street and we saw him being taken away in a van. We asked police if it was in connection to the accident when they took his car away and it was. There have been police there ever since."
It comes after a 38-year-old man was knocked down and killed by a car on Monday, December 23, on Charlton Road.
