A CHILD'S bike that was stolen on Christmas Eve has been reunited with its owners following a successful police appeal to the public.

The turquoise bike, which has the name Aisha written on the frame, was taken from Queensberry Road, in Amesbury, sometime on Tuesday, December 24, last year.

Officers issued an appeal to the public for information, and confirmed via social media they had received "a number of calls with information about the bike" which would be followed up.

And today (Wednesday) a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police revealed that the bike has been retrieved and returned to its rightful owner.

The spokesperson told the Advertiser: “Following the appeal, we had a number of calls from members of the public to say they had seen the bike and knew where it was. It was retrieved by an officer who returned it to its rightful owner.

“No arrests have been made.”
