A FARM near Andover is set to host a multi-terrain race in aid of a life-saving charity this year.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) will be staging a 5km trail run at Frenches Farm, in Little London, on Saturday, April 25.

The event will be the first of its kind in the area, as runners will have the chance to make the most of the beautiful countryside at the foot of the North Wessex Downs.

An event for all the family, Frenches Farm Run will also include a 1km trail run, perfect for all ages.

Participants are encouraged to join the fun and dress up in farmyard fancy dress.

All proceeds from the event will go towards helping to keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives.

HIOWAA Events Fundraiser, Nicole Davies said: “We are thrilled to launch our first ever 5km trail run in the beautiful setting of Frenches Farm.

“Our service is funded entirely by our local community and every sign up and donation we receive will help to save another life.”

On-site refreshments will be available, with bacon butties on sale before the 5km run, as well as a post-race BBQ at the finish line.

Participants are asked to bring their own refillable bottles, as there will be water refill stations located across the farm.
