LADIES in the borough are being invited to get “off the couch and onto the court” as a new social netball league rolls into town.

A new season, run by leageus4u, will begin with a Couch2Court taster session at Test Valley School on Tuesday, January 14, running from 7pm-8.30pm.

The league will aim to bring local women together to either brush up on their skills or try to the sport for the very first time.

Sarah Phillips, of leagues4you in Hampshire, said: “Social leagues offer a friendly and welcoming environment for people who want to play a team sport without the pressure of a traditional competitive league.

“We have seen the benefits first-hand; physical fitness, stress relief, friendship, camaraderie and above all the joy of having a laugh with your mates.

“We welcome individual players and whole teams at all levels. Courts, umpires, bibs and balls are all provided – just come along and play.”

Following the Couch2court session, the league will run from Tuesday, January 21.
