A WOMAN was reportedly assaulted and abused in a Wimborne car park while on the school run.
Police officers were called to the Allendale Centre car park near Allenbourn Middle School at 3.49pm on Wednesday, January 15.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "A woman, aged in her 30s, was approached by a man who offered to help her to park. She asked the man to move his car, which he refused to do.
"When the woman got out of her car to speak to the man, it was reported he then grabbed her arm and pushed her against her car, while shouting verbal abuse at her."
Police said enquiries are ongoing into the incident and no arrests have been made.
A spokesman for Allenbourn Middle School said: “We are aware of an alleged incident that took place off school premises last Wednesday.
"As this did not take place at the school and has, we understand, been reported to the police, we are unable to comment any further.”
UPDATED: This story initially said the incident took place in the car park at the school. Police have clarified that the incident in fact took place in the Allendale Centre car park.
