ANDOVER’S high street may have lost four major high street brands in less than a month - but councillors are promising a new era of independent outlets.
In an interview with the Advertiser, councillor Phil North said the town is rebranding itself as a shopping destination with independent retailers.
And already seven new stores have opened in recent months, including the likes of Burgos Pet World in what the council hopes is a shift towards smaller businesses finding their feet in Andover.
