CHARLTON Lakes will host the “UK’s foamiest fun run” later this year as the event comes to the Andover area for the first time.

Bubble Rush, a charity fun run through coloured bubbles, takes place in Charlton on Sunday, May 31.

Organisers have partnered with Naomi House & Jacksplace for the second year in a row, and after successful events in Portsmouth and Southampton are now bringing the event to the Andover area.

The Bubble Rush starts in a sea of foam and around the course are four bubble stations where foam canons pump out masses of coloured bubbles, ending in a huge foam bath.

There is no minimum or maximum age limit, and each course is pushchair and wheelchair friendly, so ‘bubblers’ of all ages and abilities are welcome to take part.

Bubble Rush marketing manager, Diana Caldwell said: “Last year’s events in Portsmouth and Southampton saw over 2000 bubblers of all ages run, walk and even dance through the bubbles.

“We’re so excited to be working with Naomi House & Jacksplace again this year, and to be adding two new venues to our summer tour.

“Every bubbly step that people take can raise vital funds for Naomi House & Jacksplace to help them continue to provide respite and emergency care, end-of-life care and ongoing bereavement support.”

The fundraising team at Naomi House & Jacksplace hope that families will get their bubble on and raise a froth-tastic sum by getting sponsored to take on the bubbles.

There is no minimum fundraising requirement, but the charity is asking people to do as much fundraising as they can to support their vital work that supports over 600 local families.

Charlotte Patrick, events fundraiser for Naomi House & Jacksplace, said: “Last year’s Bubble Rush was incredi-bubble so we are extremely excited to be able to work with Bubble Rush again for not just one, but four events!

“Our supporters absolutely loved getting covered in coloured bubbles on Southsea Common last year, so we are pleased that we’re able to offer this fantastic fundraising opportunity to our wonderful supporters in Andover and Basingstoke.

“This isn’t an event to miss, so sign up soon to take advantage of the early bird prices.”

Tickets for the event are on sale now, with a Super Early Bird discount running until February 16.

They cost £15 for an adult, £8 for under 15s and £42 for a family ticket.

Entry price includes a Bubble Rush t-shirt to wear at the event and a finisher’s medal.
