POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses after an attempted daylight burglary in Tidworth earlier this week.
Wiltshire Police say that a man was spotted trying to break into a house on Sidbury Circular Road on Wednesday.
PC Aaron Pedliham remarked that it was in "broad daylight", at around 3pm.
The man is described as white, in his mid 20s, of slim build with brown hair and wearing a blue puffa jacket.
He continued: "We are particularly interested to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw a male matching the following description: white, mid 20s, slim build, brown hair, blue Puffa jacket with the hood up, dark tracksuit bottoms, black woollen gloves, and a black backpack; he was riding a dark coloured pushbike.
"It was in broad daylight so I am positive somebody would have seen something suspicious.
"If that was you, please come forward."
Wiltshire Police are urging anyone with any information to contact them on 101 and quote crime reference number 54200012684.
