A TIDWORTH man who was wanted by police has now been arrested, officers have confirmed.

Jake Edmunds, of no fixed abode, was wanted in connection with assault and drug offences.

Police issued an appeal to the public last week in a bid to track down the 20-year-old.

He was believed to have been in Hampshire or the Avon and Somerset area, but officers were keen to hear from anyone who might have known which direction he was travelling in.

And police have now confirmed that Edmunds has since been found and placed under arrest.

Officers have also thanked the public for their response to the appeal.

A statement from Wiltshire Police read: “Thank you to everyone who shared our recent appeal about wanted Tidworth man Jake Edmunds.

“We are pleased to confirm he has been arrested in the Avon and Somerset area.”
