Children listened to stories about talking trees, bewitching fish and crafty thieves ahead of National Storytelling Week.
Ruth Jackson, Headteacher at Crowthorne CofE School, commented: “The children had a great time. Storytelling awakens children’s imaginations and it has been an incredible treat for them. They were totally captivated by Lucy and loved immersing themselves in the world she introduced them to.”
Set up in 2000 by The Society for Storytelling, the week aims to highlight the importance of sharing stories for young and older people to enjoy.

Lynnette St-Quintin, sales director for Barratt Southern Counties, said: “We were happy to support National Storytelling Week again this year. As part of our ongoing Education Programme, we actively promote learning experiences such as these to creatively engage pupils away from screens or tablets so were delighted to arrange Lucy’s visit to the school.”
