MOTORCYCLISTS are being urged to stay cautious after attempts to hotwire bikes across the borough.

Police say that vehicles in Test Valley have been targeted recently.

Criminal damage has been caused to the motorbikes, with that damage caused by “attempts to steal fuel” and “to hotwire” the bikes.

Riders are being urged to take care and report any crimes or suspicious activity to the police.

PCSO Amber Hague said: “If you own a motorcycle, please make sure it is fully locked and if you are able to secure it in a garage then please do so.

“Please be vigilant and if you see anyone acting suspiciously then please report it to 101, in the case of an emergency 999.”
