THREE arrests have been made after a 16-year-old was assaulted by a gang of teens in a park in Andover.

Police say a 16-year-old Andover teen was assaulted by a group of males in the park between Topaz Drive and King George Road, just after 6pm on Thursday.

The victim’s bag was stolen and he sustained a cut lip and bruising.

Three teens have been arrested on suspicion of robbery; a 16-year-old boy from Basingstoke and two 14-year-olds, one from Basingstoke and one from Tadley.

They are currently in police custody.

Officers say they are investigating the incident and the exact circumstances of what took place.

A statement from Hampshire Constabulary read: “We would like to hear from anyone with information on this incident.
