AN AIR ambulance was called in after a two-car crash in Shipton Bellinger left a road blocked for two hours today (Monday).
The incident happened on the A338, near the Boot Inn, at around 12.30pm when a mini-bus and a car collided.
Police say the woman who was driving the car was trapped “for a while” and the air ambulance was called to assist.
However, they also note that it isn’t clear if they carried the patient to hospital as her injuries were not deemed serious.
Two patients were taken to hospital for check-ups.
South Central Ambulance Service has been contacted for more information.
Officers closed a stretch of the road for two hours while dealing with the situation. Residents were urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
The fire service was also said to be in attendance.
Updates as we have them.
