FOUR people injured in a crash near Shrivenham remain in hospital, police said.

Thames Valley Police appealed for any witnesses who saw the crash on the A420 at the junction with the B4508 near Watchfield. A silver Vauxhall Insignia and a silver VW Golf crashed at around 7.55pm on Sunday.

PC Duncan Vale said: “This collision happened in the early evening on what is usually a busy stretch of the A420.

“I am appealing for anybody who may have seen the collision, or either of the vehicles described leading up to the collision, to please make contact with police.

“Anybody who has mobile phone or dash-cam footage of this incident, please get in touch to assist with this investigation.

“As a result of this collision, there were two serious injuries, and these people are in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

“The two passengers also suffered less serious injuries and were also treated in hospital."

All four people were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where they remain.

Anyone with evidence should call Thames Valley Police on 101.
