The Decibelles and Whistles are a Ludgershall/Tidworth based community Choir made up of to 15 women and men who have now enjoyed singing together for over four years.

They regularly provide entertainment at local events, including fetes, festivals, nursing and care homes as well as organising their own fund-raising activities which have included a stall at the Armed Forces day in Tidworth 2019 and more recently their own Motown Night.

Whilst singing at these events, they have successfully raised funds for both the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Portage in the sum of £363.20 each.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a lifesaving charity providing an emergency service to the people of Wiltshire and surrounding areas.

Wiltshire Portage is an independent organisation and registered charity providing a free home-visiting, specialist educational service for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The Choir always welcomes new members of all singing abilities and is always looking for new venues and events to perform.

They rehearse every Thursday evening at the Wellington Academy in Ludgershall. Throughout 2020 the Choir will be raising funds for the Enham Trust which supports people with disabilities to live, work and enjoy life; and the Countess of Brecknock Hospice which is a specialist palliative care unit within Andover Hospital.
