TEST Valley Borough Council has confirmed the cancellation of a number of upcoming meetings due to the coronavirus outbreak.

This month’s northern and southern area planning meetings, scheduled for Thursday and next Tuesday respectively, will not be going ahead.

Nor will the full council meeting planned for Wednesday, April 8, and the licensing committee meeting which had been due to take place the following night.

The authority says it will be confirming plans around other forthcoming meetings on a case-by-case basis moving forward.

A statement on the council’s website reads: “Given the coronavirus pandemic and latest government advice, please note that a number of committee meetings have been cancelled or postponed.

“We are waiting for further government guidance around decision-making meetings, therefore plans around meetings such as full Council, Cabinet and Planning will be made on a case-by-case basis going forward.
