Latest figures show there have been 24 more confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bolton.

Yesterday the Bolton News reported that the borough had seen their biggest day-on-day increase when 29 more people have tested positive.

Latest figures have been from Public Health England and the Department for Health and Social Care.

However, the current total sits at 133 people have been positive for COVID-19.

Elsewhere, Bury has 124 people now been confirmed with the virus - which is up by 20 compared to the previous day.

Nationally, as of 9am on April 5, a total of 195,524 people have been tested of which 47,806 tested positive.

As of 5pm on April 4, of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 4,934 have sadly died.
