A RADIO station in Ludgershall has joined forces with two local churches in Tidworth to ensure weekly church services are reaching its parishioners during the pandemic.

The Sunday service will be broadcasted live on Sundays at 10am, on 104.7fm, online and Facebook Live. The community has reached 1300 people, expressing their gratitude and thanks as they continue to access their weekly worship.

Barry Rhodes, volunteer presenter at Castledown FM said, “It’s so rewarding to know as a community radio station we are making such a difference when people cannot visit our local churches. It’s fantastic knowing that people can continue to worship and sing from their homes.”

"The weekly broadcast receives lots of interaction from the ‘virtual congregation’ which is validation the listeners value and appreciate the live broadcast. It is evidence of our community radio station doing what it does best, supporting our local people.”

This coming Sunday, is one of the most important days in the Christian calendar, Easter Sunday.  There will be a joint benefice live broadcast from Castledown Fm at 10am with Facebook live running too, and everyone is welcome. To join in with the hymns, songs are posted on Castledown FM’s facebook page.

You can listen live locally on 104.7fm or on the Radio Player App or via www.castledownfm.com.
