A MAN has been arrested for drink driving after police stopped a car driving near Andover.
Police stopped a vehicle in Tidworth, early on Sunday evening.
Following a breath test and further checks, the 28-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Melksham Custody for further questioning.
The legal limit in the UK for drink driving is 35ug but the driver provided a reading of 97ug.
PC Scott said: “This was once again great teamwork from both Neighbourhood and Response Officers. We will not tolerate drink drivers on our roads and will target offenders accordingly to get them put before the courts and taken off the road. Any information regarding drink drivers can be reported via 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
