GARDEN equipment was stolen from a pair of villages near Andover last night.

Overnight on Thursday there were two “non-dwelling burglaries”, according to police, with one taking place in Wherwell and the other in Longstock.

A “quantity” of garden tools were said to have been taken during the incidents.

Police have now appealed to anyone who may have CCTV footage showing suspicious vehicles or people in the area to get in touch via 101.

They have also urged residents to ensure that petrol driven garden equipment is kept securely locked away, and registered on the national database at immobilise.com.
