A BUS driver who crashed into the bridge on Charlton Road, tearing the roof off the vehicle he was driving, has admitted to driving without due care or attention.
Andrew McAuley, of Pinefield Road, Southampton, was driving a double decker bus in Andover on November 12 when he tried to drive under the bridge on Charlton Road.
As previously reported in the Advertiser, the roof was caught on the bridge overhead and torn completely off.
The 57-year-old pleaded guilty to driving without due care or attention via single justice procedure, however the case was adjourned and could not be continued due to the situation regarding Covid-19.
A holding date of June 26 at Aldershot magistrates court has been set.
