SIX fire engines were called to a garden fire that got out of control in Andover on Sunday afternoon.
Crews from across Hampshire, as well as one crew from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service, attended the property in Leyton Way.
The fire brigade had initially told the Advertiser on Sunday that the blaze was caused by a barbecue that caught fire, and spread to a shed.
However, on Thursday, June 5, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said that their investigation deemed that the fire was accidental.
A spokesperson clarified: "This incident was deemed accidental; most likely caused by the sun reflecting of a glass/steel surface and igniting combustible materials."
It started at around 12.30pm, and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was ongoing for most of the afternoon.
Fire engines from Andover, Eastleigh, Stockbridge, Winchester, Whitchurch and Basingstoke were called to attend.
