TOOLS were stolen in a spate of thefts carried out in the Stockbridge area last night (Thursday).

Police say there were ‘a number of break-ins’ to outbuildings in the Stockbridge and Houghton area, with the culprits stealing tools.

In one case, two offenders were captured on CCTV at around 3am.

Officers say they also received another report of a theft, this time from a vehicle in Stockbridge. Again, the culprits stole tools from within.

Police say they are carrying out “further work” to find those responsible.

A statement on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary read: “Please ensure that you are using as many measures of security as you can. This may involve installing motion lighting, CCTV cameras or alarms.

“In the meantime we are carrying out further work to identify those responsible.”
