A “LARGE quantity” of drugs as well as mobile phones and drug paraphernalia were seized from an Amesbury property this morning (Wednesday).
Police say they executed a search warrant at an address in Imber Avenue shortly before 10am today.
Officers from Amesbury Neighbourhood Team, Salisbury Response, Dog Unit and the Tasking Team were involved in the raid.
A large quantity of cannabis was seized as well as £1,300 cash and a number of mobile phones and drugs paraphernalia.
Officers say a man in his 30s has been interviewed at Amesbury police station for the offence of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
Sgt Tom Ellerby said: “With crimes like these, we rely on the public to provide us with information which helps us build a better understanding of the scale of the problem in their area so we would continue to urge residents to contact us with any concerns they may have about drug activity in their neighbourhood.
“Today’s warrant has resulted in a sizeable amount of cannabis being seized preventing it from reaching vulnerable people in our communities. Drugs can have a significant impact on a community as they can often be associated with anti-social behaviour.”
Anyone with concerns is advised to report them via 101.
