DETECTIVES are investigating numerous crimes carried out in the borough following a spate of car thefts.

In the space of two days from Wednesday, July 8 to 9, police were called out to almost 10 car related thefts and suspicious behaviour reports.

The thefts happened in Sunningdale, Sunninghill and Ascot (South).

Catalytic converter theft

At about 9.10pm on Wednesday, July 8, a thief stole a catalytic converter from a Honda Jazz at a supermarket car park.

Police said thieves would have jacked the side of the car up and cut the exhaust out.

Car smashed

On the same day between 11pm and 7am on Thursday, July 9, a car front passenger window was smashed on Nell Gwynn Close.

Officer confirm that nothing was stolen but the car was searched. Quote crime ref: 43200207278

Golf clubs stolen

On July 8 and 9 between 11.30pm and 11am a resident on Upper Village Road in Sunninghill reported finding a set of golf clubs on their drive.

Police said it appears they were stolen from a nearby parked car which was broken into by thieves.

They were the golf clubs from the neighbour and were returned to them. Ref No: 432002020749

Soft drinks sachet stolen

On Thursday at 1 pm on St. Marys Hill a car was entered by 'unknown means' and thieves stole a soft drinks sachet. Ref No: 43200107738

Bike stolen

On Wednesday, July 8 between the hours of 8.30pm and Thursday 1pm, a locked up bike was stolen from inside a property on Fuzzybanks.

Police said it was a black Norco bike with distinctive gold handlebars. Ref. No: 43200107824

Suspicious man

On Thursday, July 9 at 3.10am on The Glade in Ascot, a resident woke up from an electric warning that someone was on their property.

They checked the video and saw a man walking around and checking the security of their garage and garden shed. The security lgihts came on and the man made off.

Police said nothing was stolen but if you live nearby, please check video doorbell footage or CCTV footage if he also targeted you.

iPad Air stolen

Police said an iPad Air was stolen from a car on St George's Lane in Ascot on July 9 between 2am and 5.30am

The car rear windscreen and rear passenger window was smashed and a bag left in the car was searched.Ref. No: 4320027202.
