Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Speaking about crime in the town, the vice chairman of Tidworth Town Council, Humphry Jones, said: “Crime is very low considering the size of the town.

“You have kids who do things when they are a bit bored but we do not have much adult crime.

“An old police sergeant, Paul Oatway, in Tidworth did such a good job that he only took out one drug dealer a month.

“The population is approaching 20,000, and there is rarely anything that is a problem.

“Wiltshire police have a huge presence in the town, and they are planning to move into the new community centre.

“These plans are absolutely set in concrete and that will be their new headquarters.”
