A group of around 10 caravans camping at Tadley Health and Fitness Centre car park have been served notice by police.
It is understood that the group arrived three days ago at the car park, shortly after being moved from Burghfield to Mortimer on Wednesday.
Concerns have been raised by residents in the last 24 hours that the community use of facilities are being affected, and rubbish is piling up.
This afternoon, Hampshire Constabulary issued a statement on the matter.
"We are aware of a traveller encampment that arrived at Tadley Swimming Pool in New Road on July 22," a police spokesman said.
"The group has been served with a notice by the council informing them they must leave the site.
"We continue to work with the local authority to monitor and assess the situation."
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council's Head of Environmental Services, Tom Payne, previously said: “We are aware of the unauthorised encampment at Tadley Swimming Pool and Gym.
"We have visited the site, which is outside of the injunction area, and are working with the police to take the relevant next steps to secure possession of this land as quickly as possible.
“While carrying out this work we are also taking into consideration guidance from government relating to unauthorised encampments during the Covid-19 outbreak.”
