A large police presence was spotted near Andover train station on Wednesday night.
Officers could be seen cordoning off an area on Charlton Road, at around 8.30pm.
A witness told The Advertiser: "There was an incident this evening down by the train station on Charlton Road.
"The police have said to say that they can’t say what has happened."
This newspaper has contacted Andover police for comment.
The incident came a short time after a shooting and a fatal car accident in Enham.
It is not known if the town incidents are related.
