A MAN has been jailed for attacking a woman in Andover.
Benjamin James Marsh denied the allegation but was convicted after a trial and sent to prison for 12 weeks.
Marsh,31, of McLaren Road, Winton, Bournemouth, attacked the woman in a domestic incident at a property in Peake Way, Andover, on November 27 last year.
Magistrates heard the attack happened in front of a child in a prolonged incident and that Marsh was in breach of a suspended sentence order.
They also imposed a restraining order not to contact the woman to run until July 28 2022.
He admitted criminal damage to the woman’s car two days before the attack.
The magistrates imposed a £122 victim surcharge and £750 towards prosecution costs.
