A man has exposed himself in the Picket Twenty area, police said.

Officers in Test Valley say they will be upping patrols in a bid to find the man.

A spokesman for Test Valley Police said: "We have received reports of a male exposing himself in the Picket Twenty area.

"A 14-year-old girl was flashed at by a man who spoke to her.

"It happened at what is described as ‘the hill at the picket twenty end of ladies walk’ on Saturday, August 8 at about 3.50pm.

"We will be patrolling in and around Picket Twenty and Officers are working to try and identify the male.

"If you have any information please contact 101 quoting 44200301280."

The father of the victim has responded to the police's post, writing: "This happened to my 14-year-old daughter.

"This is a very tame and brief description of what actually happened.

"This paedophile not only exposed himself, he was urinating and masturbating in front of her and attempted to keep her there.

"He was a white male, approx 5'8" - 5'9". Dark hair with patchy beard. Very skinny, almost anorexic. Local accent. Was wearing a light grey vest with kahki/cream cargo shorts. Was wearing a black facemask with a design or possibly text on it.

"Shame on you Test Valley Cops for this woeful reporting. We have waited three days for contact from you and all the while my daughter has been terrified.

"People, please look out for this predator. This was on my daughter's school route, and luckily she hasn't walked that way recently.

"I had hoped for a better response from the police than this. Not even a person visit. Just a generic email response and one follow up phone call."
