A MAN who was four times the drink driving limit has been banned from the roads.
Adam Klos was found slumped over in the driver's seat of a Vauxhall Zafira in Fanshawe Street, Southampton.
He was discovered by a member of the public with his "ignition running" on February 29 this year.
Klos of Shirley High Street was breathalysed at the roadside, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He was four times over the drink driving limit with 145 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the limit is 35 micrograms.
More samples taken while in police custody confirmed this reading.
Klos had no passengers and gave a no comment police interview.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates' Court in June he pleaded not guilty to drink driving.
However, standing before the same court on July 29 he was found guilty.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £500.
Klos must pay £300 in court costs and a £50 victim surcharge.
