The fine for travelling on public transport can be £100.
Danny kruger, the tory MP for Devises not wearing a mask for the entire Hungerford to Paddington train journey yesterday. Don’t blame it on the young people Boris when your own party aren’t even following your rules 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ #Lockdown2 #SecondWave pic.twitter.com/4NV8Cv5CuK

In a post on social media, Mr Kruger, MP for Devizes, said: "Since the picture of me not wearing a mask on a train last week was tweeted I have, understandably, received a number of emails and messages asking why this happened.
"It was a simple mistake made in an almost empty carriage: I just forgot I should be wearing a mask, and once I realised my error I covered up for the remainder of my journey. I sincerely apologise for my mistake and for the annoyance it has caused to so many who have been closely following the rules."
He added: "Travelling on public transport without wearing a mask can carry a £100 fine and I’ll be donating this amount to NHS Charities Together which supports NHS staff in caring for patients throughout the United Kingdom, and especially during the coronavirus crisis."
