SOUTHAMPTON has seen an increase in its Covid-19 infection rate.
The city's rate has risen to 12.3 new cases for every 100,000 residents from the previous figure of 10.3, with 31 new cases, according to new data from Public Health England.
But other parts of Hampshire have seen decreases.
Fareham's figure has gone from 12.0 to 9.5, with 11 new cases, and the New Forest has seen its infection rate drop from 11.7 to 6.7, with 12 new cases.
Winchester has gone from 8.8 to 6.4, with 11 new cases.
Eastleigh's rate has remained at 3.7 but the town has seen five new cases. Gosport has gone from 5.9 to 3.5, with three new cases.
New data is released each week and shows how rates of positive coronavirus tests are changing in each area. The tests are carried out both in laboratories and in the wider community.
The rate is expressed as the new number of new cases per 100,000 population.
