Emergency services tackle blaze in Southampton home
EMERGENCY services rushed to a Southampton home to tackle a fire.
Fire crews from St Mary's, Eastleigh and Botley were called to Hatley Road in Harefield at 1.23am this morning.
A fire had started on the ground floor of the single-storey house, and it had begun to spread to the roof.
The building was under renovation at the time of the fire and all persons were accounted for.
The fire was extinguished using six breathing apparatus, five jets and tactical ventilation for smoke clearance.
Crews were able to leave the scene at 3.22am.
