Andover is set to be hit with heavy rain and strong winds as the Met Office issue a warning for Storm Alex.

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning as Storm Alex brings theĀ potential for flooding and transport disruption.

The warning comes into force at 3am on Friday October 2 and will last up until 8pm.

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses in urbanised areas is likely
  • Spray and flooding on roads will make for dangerous driving conditions resulting in longer journey times.
  • Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
  • Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
