A man from Tidworth has been charged with a drink driving offence after being stopped by police.
Amesbury Police said that they stopped a vehicle in the early hours of Saturday morning (October 17) after it was flagged as having no tax.
Following checks, the driver was given a breathalyser test and was found to be almost twice the legal limit. He had a reading of 60; the legal limit being 35.
He was subsequently arrested and taken to a police station, where another breath test gave him a reading of 50, leading to him being charged with drink driving.
To report drink driving offences, members of the public can use 101, or in an emergency, 999.
