THERE has been a rise in thefts from motor vehicles recently police claim.
Reports relating to this type of crime made up 8 per cent of the overall calls to Police in Fareham last weekend.
This is said to be a larger percentage than normal and something that hasn't been seen for some time in the area.
Police say that a common theme in the reports were that 2 people were seen.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "Some vehicles were not locked but this in no way excuses the offence.
"If you have any personal CCTV footage we would be keen to view it."
The locations of the reports were Rockingham Way, Mariners Way, Holland Park, The Glades, Crofton Way, Brook Lane, Seamead, Meadow Avenue, Daisy Lane and Tulip Gardens.
