The front counter of Andover Police Station will be reopening on Monday.

From 9am on October 26, members of the public will be able to once again visit the counter after it had previously closed.

Services provided at police counters generally include the ability to report crimes or provide information, as well as receiving advice and guidance from officers.

The counter, located in the police station on South Street, will be open from 9:00am to 6:00pm from Monday to Saturday, and open from 9:30am to 6:00 pm on Sundays. It will be closed every day between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.

Positing on social media, Andover Police said: “We are excited to announce the reopening of our Andover Front Counter on Monday 26th October!!

“Our amazing front office staff are keen to welcome you all back and help with any issues or queries you have!

“We can’t wait to see you all!!”

They reminded visitors to the station to bring a mask and wear it while inside the building.

Councillor Phil North, Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, received the announcement warmly, calling it "good news."
