An Andover man is due to stand trial accused of the assault of a woman.

Ryan Philip Potter, of Harebell Road, is accused of assaulting the woman in Basingstoke on March 7.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge in September, and a date has now been set for his trial.

The 27-year-old must attend Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on October 23.

A teenager has been accused of having a knuckle duster in public.

Steven David Simon Fuller, of Shepherds Row, was out in Picket Twenty on April 26 when he is said to have had the offensive weapon in his possession.

It came less than three weeks after he was allegedly caught driving his Skoda Fabia on Salisbury Road on April 6 when unfit to do so through drugs.

The 19-year-old was found to have more than seven micrograms per litre of blood of THC - a by-product of cannabis - where the legal limit is two.

Fuller has not entered pleas to the charges yet, and will next appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on December 17.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man from Picket Twenty after he was caught in Andover with a knife.

Scott Antony McLaren, of Quicksilver Way, allegedly had an 8.5 inch long blade on him in Andover on July 8.

He is also charged with causing the harassment, alarm or distress of Roger Morgan on the same day.

The 44-year-old was due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last week, but court documents show that he did not answer bail, and a warrant was therefore issued.

McLaren has not yet entered pleas to the charges.

A man caught driving on the A303 at nearly 90 miles per hour is due to appear in court next month.

Christopher Pollard, of no fixed abode, was allegedly clocked driving his Volkswagen at 88 miles per hour on the dual carriageway near Longparish.

He was said to have done this on July 8, 2019.

Additionally, the 35-year-old was previously proved guilty of failing to respond to a notice of intended prosecution, sent out by police three days after the offence.

Pollard’s case has been adjourned until November 7, where the charge of speeding will be decided. He has not entered a plea
