The director of an Andover-based company is to stand trial on the charge of sexual assault.

Marcus Sawkins, of Dabbs Hill Lane, Northolt, is accused of assault by penetration of a woman in Newbury on June 30 2018.
Court documents state that he will stand trial on charges that he “with intent sexually penetrated the vagina of a woman aged 16 or over with a part of your body, namely, your fingers when she did not consent and you did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.”
He is a director of GFMS Services Ltd, based at Aldwych House on Winchester Street, and previously worked as an assistant manager for CK Andover Football Club between 2012 and 2016.
The 51-year-old was not present at Reading Magistrates Court on November 4, but has not yet entered a plea.
His case was sent for trial by jury at Reading Crown Court on December 8, 2020.
