ANDOVER is one of the most desirable places to live in Hampshire, with interest soaring since the start of the year.

According to Rightmove, searches for homes have risen by 83 per cent in the year to November 2020.

The data, compiled by the property search company, has revealed Andover is the third most popular place to live in Hampshire, behind Hayling Island and Alton.

In fourth and fifth place are Waterlooville, near Portsmouth, and Fordingbridge in the New Forest.

Town estate agent Tom Parfitt said there has been “massive interest” from out-of-town buyers this year. “Houses have been going faster than you can bring them to market,” he said.
